Capitol Gig
24th January 2007
The gig last night in Capitol Sauchiehall street was excellent for lots of reasons. There was a great turn out so thanks to all who came down, there were some good bands on - the drummer from Nacionale deserves a mention as he's a star in the making, liking your style!, and the venue itself is really worth checking out. Special mention for the guys on the sound as the did an excellent job and it really makes all the difference. Crap venues with crap sound take note!

Busy In June
2.06.2006
The month of June is going to be a very busy month for us. We shall be going into the recording studio to record our first EP. Swiftly followed by what should be three excellent gigs at The Cathouse, The Carling Academy and The Barfly. Which will also mean lots of hours in rehearsals in an attempt to bring us further up the progress ladder as we finely tune our set and further polish up new material. We hope as many of you as possible can make it along to one if not all of our gigs to witness the fruits of our labours as the work we are putting in should really show an upward jump in quality sounds. Fortunately we get to round the month off by opening The Show at Mister Jack Casey's (Frankie Miller's Drummer) Birthday Party at The GUU. That WILL be a fantastic evening for ALL and we are really really looking forward to that one. First On First To Party !!! Again we would like to Thank Everybody who has supported us and help us through our first year and hope to see you all sooner rather than later. Love to You All - Big Time - David Ronan Paul Alan Barry xx xx xx xx xx.Emergenza Semi Final

We would like to thank everybody Big Time for coming along to Vertigo and lending their support and helping us to get through to The Final of The Emergenza Unsigned Bands Festival. Now we are heading for a Gig at The Carling Academy Glasgow. So it will be heads down at Band Practice to really fine tune our Set for The Final and hopefully we can persuade you all to come along again to what promises to be an Excellent Day sometime in June.Radio Nowhere

01.01.2006
Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a good time at the bells. We are now really looking forward to the year ahead. January will see us take part in The Emergenza Unsigned Bands event, starting on the 26th. Therafter if we progress there will be a Gig at Vertigo at Strathclyde Student Union, and if we make that hurdle it is on to The Carling Academy Glasgow. We really need to call upon all the Friends and Family to come along and lend their support. So here's hoping we start the year with a floursih..SHARKS
29.09.05
It seems that in recent shark fishing contests, the largest beasts landed are 4-6 footers, whereas 10 years ago 10-12 footers were common. The reason is overfishing, put down to the effect on the social psyche by Steven Spielberg's masterpiece "Jaws." Well done Mr Spielberg. And while we're at it we're pretty sure he's why there are no dinosaurs either.BIG THANK YOU TO JACK CASEY...
29.09.05
Many thanks to legendary drummer Jack Casey for filling in at rehearsals. Means alot Jack, ta.NUMBER ONE FAN
23.09.05
Our number one fan award goes to Tracker. That's his name, he has no other. He's not even Tracker Tracker, or Woman Tracker, he's just Tracker. Tracker you have been at every gig so far and we thank you from the bottom of our collective Argumentative hearts amigo. The award is one can of slightly warm Tennents Lager and will presented to you at a special ceremony in Alan's mum's house by none other than Alan's mum. Enjoy it Tracker and thanks again! xoTHE CLINIC
13.09.05
The Arguments are heading to the Clinic tonight for a much needed checkup. (The sexual health of the band is a bit of a concern with a few members showing signs of strain.) We're on stage at 9.30pm, should be a good gig. xxVOTE 3!!!

The Arguments?
The Arguments are a 5 piece rock and roll band from Glasgow, Scotland.
They were formed by lead member David O’Hara in October of 2004
with bassist Alan Law joining in April 2005 and drummer Barry Morgan
joining in September 2005 to complete the current line up.
Sound wise, many talk of an older flavour to the music,
with bands like The Velvet Underground and early Roxy Music mentioned
in passing.
The current crop of songs originate mostly from sessions recorded in
Greece by David O’Hara. Exceptionally strong lyrically, the band have spent
the last year working on the structure and music of David’s early demos.
This culminated in the recording of four tracks for a first EP in early June
2006.
Members consist of two former students of The SAE Glasgow, having
completed Audio Engineering Courses, a Web/Graphics Designer, a Biology
Student from Glasgow University, and a former Royal Navy Sub Mariner.
